  1. The Basics 38 years old, married over 15 years, 2 great and crazy boys, various college courses that never amounted to a hill of beans.
  2. Experience Been a youth leader since I was 18 in some capacity. I have been a full-time pastor (still sounds strange) for 15 years.
  3. Favorite Music Where do I start? Almost every conceivable style out there if its good. I gravitate most towards electronic, classisical, jazz, folk and rock.
  4. Favorite Books (other than the Bible) Celebration of Discipline, Divine Conspiracy, Practice of the Presence of God and many others.
  5. Favorite Hobby Anything that involves creating something. Composing music and writing are up at the top, then outdoor sports and boxing. Love spending time with my boys and Chris (my wife), oh and of course drinking good strong coffee.
  6. Best Movie of All Time It’s A Wonderful Life. Glory. Band of Brothers. Others.
  7. Why are you a leader at Fusion? Spiritual answer: God led me here. Heart answer: I love these teens and deeply appreciate there many levels. Both are true.
  8. Favorite Fusion memory… so far Jess Farber scaring a whole big youth group with her enthusiasm at Dairy Hut in Kentucky. That one is etched in my memory forever.

  7. Why are you a leader at Fusion? Preteens and teens are at a time in their life of finding out who they are so my desire is for them to come to know Him in a personal way now so when they leave us they will be His disciples for a lifetime.
  8. Favorite Fusion memory… so far Meeting God with the teens at Spiritual Life weekend. Awesome.

  7. Why are you a leader at Fusion? My reason for being in youth ministry is this unexplainable, God-given passionate love for teens. To see them “make it” thru teendom in tact & in Christ.
  8. Favorite Fusion memory… so far My favorite Fusion memory is Sat nites at SLW- Seeing our young men be real men and our young women connecting to each other. (Godly One anothering at it’s best) Too awesome for words.

  1. The Basics I am 45 years old, married almost 23 years, and the father of three teens. I have a degree in physics and have been teaching science (mostly chemistry) at Garden Spot High School in New Holland for 19 years.
  2. Experience I have been involved in some form of youth ministry for over 20 years-from teaching Sunday School to coaching Bible Quizzing to Middle School and High School Youth Group.
  3. Favorite Music I mostly listen to classical and worship music, but like variety-jazz, Celtic, folk, etc.
  4. Favorite Books (other than the Bible)
    • “In His Image” by Dr. Paul Brand and Philip Yancey has wonderful insights relating the human body to the Body of Christ; it revolutionized my perception of the power and efficacy of the blood of Jesus.
    • Books on science themes aimed at the thinking segment of the general population, like “E = mc2: A Biography of the World’s Most Famous Equation” by David Bodanis.
    • Inspiring biographies, like “Rees Howells, Intercessor” by Norman Grubb, that open my eyes and heart to a higher level of devotion and action.
  5. Favorite Hobby Gourmet cooking (except I haven’t really done much because my kids won’t eat “suspicious” ingredients). wife), oh and of course drinking good strong coffee.
  6. Best Movie of All Time “It’s a Wonderful Life” is a sentimental favorite, especially as a middle-aged man sometimes wondering if I’m doing anything significant. For a “lose yourself in another time and place” cinematic experience, it’s hard to top the “Lord of the Rings” trilogy, seen in a continuous sequence (this past Thanksgiving vacation).
  7. Why are you a leader at Fusion? I want to see a generation of radical Jesus-followers rise up and change the world.
  8. Favorite Fusion memory… so far I was blessed to see students start to catch a glimpse of their spiritual potential last year during Deep-to-Deep, then start going after God passionately during the Tuesday evening worship times in the spring, and finally the Wednesday meetings as well.

  1. The Basics I’m 24 and married to Justin. I attended Millersville University and now teach middle school social studies at Conestoga Christian School.
  2. Experience This is my first time being a leader in any type of youth ministry, but I spend lots of time during the school day with kids!
  3. Favorite Music Anything that makes me want to sing or dance along!

  5. Favorite Hobby Traveling and hanging out with the husband. I also enjoy a good afternoon nap.

  7. Why are you a leader at Fusion? God. He has put kids on my heart and I hope in some way I can make a difference.
  8. Favorite Fusion memory… so far I have only been a part of Fusion for a few weeks now, but seeing the way the kids surrender to God during worship is always powerful and inspiring. I also have to give some props to the drama team and their awesome performance of the “Life House Skit” on Youth Sunday.
